The Spin

We finish back of the fleet due principally to my tactical failure to bring along the spinnaker sail for the lighter winds than I expected. With an inexperienced family crew I had hoped the more manageable light wind Code Zero would serve us well, but that was not to be the case. We had great family time. Regardless, Kiwi Spirit II is not near as fast as her predecessor in which I came in 14th out of 72 boats 4 years ago.
