Kiwi Spirit II Arrives in Boson
Kiwi Spirit II arrives in Boston for fundraising for the Foundation for Physical Therapy. Place your name on the boat for $100.00 or more and sail around the world with me. https://www.foundation4pt.org/parissail/
Kiwi Spirit II arrives
Kiwi Spirit II arrives in 5th Place out of 31 boats. Clearly we trailed in light airs from the outset and had hoped to do better when moderate winds arrived. However we broke away when the winds went off our quarter and were quite impressive. It was too late to make a difference. Will be interesting to check race tracker. Overall remain pleased with the boat. It Is easy to handle and gives a comfortable ride but not as fast as the bigger predecessor Kiwi Spirit.

Start of 2nd leg of Bermuda One-Two
Last to leave the harbor, will we be first to enter the next. Follow on http://yb.tl/onetwo2017

Race Starts Tomorrow
The marina is full, so Kiwi Spirit II lies at anchor. Thirty-three boats are ready to race the 635 miles to Newport, Rhode Island.
We still have headsail furling issues but all electronics are sound. Only two crew are allowed to each boat and so I have my son Alan with me with whom four years ago we won this race.

America's Cup in Bermuda
At Americas Cup Bermuda with my son Alan as New Zealand wins again and pulls into the lead.

In Bermuda
"There's a ship lying safely in the harbor" and it's me. Good decision to avoid the storm and ice meeting our path. Tough slog into head winds but a good test of a great yacht. This will work for me.
Coming home for three days next week then back here for the double handed race to Newport Rhode Island.
