The marina is full, so Kiwi Spirit II lies at anchor. Thirty-three boats are ready to race the 635 miles to Newport, Rhode Island. We still have headsail furling issues but all electronics are sound. Only two crew are allowed to each boat and so I have my son Alan with me with whom four years ago we won this race.
